I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Board of Counsellors at California Lutheran University’s School of Business for many years now. Here is an article posted this week based on my recent interview with them.

The events held under the name TED have added much richness and depth to our nation’s recent dialogue. These inspiring speakers are not always the excited motivators we have become accustomed to but rather they tend to be thoughtful and deep-thinking people who share their insights in short presentations.

Here is one that touched me and has inspired millions: Coach John Wooden. I had the privilege of sharing the same convention stage with him on a few occasions and I was clearly walking in the footprints of a giant.

This presentation is about 17 minutes long. I hope you enjoy it, and after you see it, go to his official website to learn more about him. Here’s the link: http://www.coachwooden.com/

If ever I can assist you in driving home the importance of these principles please drop me a note or give me a call. May the Coach’s legacy last forever.

John Wooden, affectionately known as Coach, led UCLA to record wins that are still unmatched in the world of basketball. Throughout his long life, he shared the values and life lessons he passed to his players, emphasizing success that’s about much more than winning.
