Current Fees
(Continental US)
  • Keynote: $15,000 plus expenses ($10,000 for local, non-travel  engagements near Los Angeles, CA)
  • Half Day:$20,000 plus expenses
  • Full Day: $25,000 plus expenses
 International Fees: $20,000 for first presentation (up to 3 hours), reduced fees for additional days. R/T Business Class Travel additional.
TRAVEL POLICY
  • Prefers to agree up front on an inclusive travel fee or book his own travel and send a bill in advance for reimbursement. Typically $2,000 flat domestic USA travel fee. (lower for west coast)
  • First or Business class requested (but flexible); always prorates expenses when applicable
  • Arrives early
  • Usually prefers to be met at airport (not essential)
  • Non-smoker, no special needs
AUDIO VISUAL NEEDS
  • Brings his own Apple iPad Air2 & USB or sends PowerPoint presentation in advance
  • Usually Requests:
  • Large screen, positioned off-center or rear-screen projection
  • 2 cables: 1.) a cable to connect the computer projection system to his iPad Air2, and 2.) a mini-jack audio cable from iPad into the room sound system
  • Full room lighting throughout presentation
  • Open platform with NO head table
  • Lavaliere (clip-on) wireless microphone
  • DI – direct input box for plugging in a guitar (some performances)
POLICY ON VIDEO OR AUDIO TAPING
  • Recording is Encouraged, ( Separate licensing agreement required ), no charge for most recordings.
  • Licensing fee (commissionable) may be charged depending on usage of the recording.
PRODUCT SALES POLICY
  • Does not sell from the platform unless appropriate and requested or preapproved.
  • Encourages discounted group purchase for entire audience or offers a post-meeting mail order.
BUREAU POLICY
  • Pays bureau’s fee from the actual fee paid by the client
  • Bureau gets 25% of fee for programs they confirm and 25% of net profit on products that are sold by the bureau agent
  • Extra sales materials furnished quickly on request
  • Brochures are “bureau friendly” and available online via email link
    (no return address)
PROGRAM PREPARATION
  • Jim is willing and eager to speak with the client to aid in their planning or decision making
  • Jim often sends a multi-page pre-program questionnaire to each client well in advance of the meeting
  • He likes to review websites, brochures and flyers from the client organization and wants a copy of the official convention program in advance to see what precedes and follows him.
  • Jim is willing to create a greeting video for the client to be used in program promotion.
